Well since I have been back for Tony Robbins I have been alot my adventurous. I decided to drive down to South Carolina to visit with family friends.....but first why not stop in Washington DC and see the zoo?
Thats just what the girls and I did. We took off on a Thurs afternoon and landed in DC at 1 am. Now we booked a Motel 6 so we had a place to land but lets just say it was a little on the totally scanky side...ick. Regardless, we survived the night and woke in the morning to a sunny city.

We made it to the zoo with little fuss but the parking was full so we were sent to find a Mariot to park at. That took some time. I got a little turned around even with the help of Jodys lovely, wonderful, fabulous gift....a new GPS!!! The thing rocks!
We did finally get parked and we walked to the zoo. Then we walked around the zoo. We made sure to see all of our favorites and of course the stars of the show there...the Pandas.
We spent several hours and had a great time. We all enjoyed the zoo. It seemed they really made an effort to make their animals happy with roomy housing. We were very happy and impressed with the elephant habitat they were building.

After we left the zoo we walked downtown and visited a little Indian shop Vayda had spotted while we were turned around. She bought a skirt and a CD. Elanee found a ring for herself.
We followed that with a much needed dinner of organic Chinese food. On our way out of the city at 5pm we got to see all the big and important buildings of DC. Ya know...the white ones. :)
Awesome day!!!
