New Kitten

Because we are smart that way....we adopted a new kitten.
Our nieghbor's sister had a litter our nieghbor talked me into it.
Her name is Meeka and she is gorgous! I simple couldnt resist. Jody forgave me pretty quickly too. ;)
With all the cuddles and cuteness comes the obvious....kitten drama. Lordy lordy- the things we do to ourselves.
The flee bitten kitten gets first of many baths.
In case you are wondering...and thinking we suddenly have alot of animals...here is what we actually have.......
3 cats
3 rabbits
7 goats
1 rat
Not too many compared to many people I know. I am waiting for a few of these critters to kick it but for now we are really happy with all out little charges.

Miles turns 1

After we returned from Mass we had two birthd ay partys that weekend.
Both on the same day. First cousin, Trevor Veeder, turned 11! (forgot the camera for that one)
Later that afternoon cousin, Miles Ditzell, turned 1.

Jenna, Scott and Miles.

A day in Rhode Island

At the end of the hot week with Javari and Jayden we drove them back to Mass. They had a great time with us but they were very happy to see mommy :)
We got there in the evening. As we left their home we saw an Fair in Brockton. Feeling very free and easy we took the opportunity to go to that. We just walked around and the girls road one ride. It was cool and spontanious.

We slept over at Heathers house in RI and the following day we went to Newport where we saw the sights and little shops and all the tourists.
Before we headed back to NY we found the beach. To this day we have no idea what state were in. Could have been RI or NH...Mass? We dont know but it was really fun. We used this as a relaxing reward for all of our hard work playing with babies for a week.
The ocean is its own special something, isnt it?

Grandsons in July

At the top of July Angelica was supposed to bring the boys out, have a visit and leave them with us for a week. Well plans fell through and in the end we drove out to Mass and got the boys.
We kept the boys for a full week on the hottest week of the summer....and I mean H-O-T!
Babies and hot are not a good combo so we spent a ton of time outside and at the parks.

The little guys live in the city so everything we have here was a new adventure.
Javari liked listening to Jody read Harry Potter to Maya.
Bath time is not new but still rip roarin fun!
Foolin around in the shade.
Cuddle bug!
Posin with Aunt Vayda. Jayden was sick of pictures.
Sharing a snack.
Vayda is the favorite climbing structure at every park.
Eventually, they managed to wear us out. Even Maya Rae ened up exhausted.
Vayda learned to appreciate the delicate flavor of slimey baby pretzel....mmmmm.
Weeee! Bottoms up!

It took an increadable amount of energy to meet all their needs and we all got really sick to boot
(the boys came with a nasty little stomach bug that hardly touched them just clobbered all of us)
but looking back we are really happy we spent a week with them. We have hopes of doing this several times a year.

Jayden at almost 1

Jayden at almost 1 was soooo adorable and cuddly.
Here is trying on Aunt Vaydas hat. ADORABLE!!! Cant stand it!!!

He was crawling and spent alot of time exploring.
He was happy with whatever we did.
He slept in Nannas room and we spent a great deal of time cuddling, playing, reading and going to the parks.

Javari- almost 2

Javari at just about 2 yrs was full of opinions, fun and games.
He loves his bubba (pacifier), shoes and cup...and Aunt Vayda.

Here we were waiting for Maya to get out of summer rec and he got hold of Nannas sunglasses. Cute.
There were times he got really frustrated.
He found Jody and Mayas bikes very interesting.
He liked the birds at the beach.

Because it was increadably hot that week we all spent a bunch of time at the local play grounds. The lake breeze helped keep the boys cooler and happy.
